Economics and finance are not same

Economics and finance are related but distinct fields. Economics is a social science that deals with the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services, while finance is a field that deals with the management of money and other financial assets.

Economics focuses on understanding the behavior of individuals, firms, and markets as a whole, and examines how economic agents make decisions about the allocation of resources. It covers a broad range of topics, including microeconomics, macroeconomics, international economics, and development economics.

Finance, on the other hand, is a narrower field that deals specifically with the management of money and other financial assets. It involves making decisions about how to invest money, how to raise capital, and how to manage risk. It covers topics such as financial markets, investment analysis,corporate finance, and financial institutions.

While economics provides a broader understanding of the economy and its behavior, finance is focused on the management of money and other financial assets. Economics provides a foundation for understanding the financial system and the behavior of financial agents, but finance applies this knowledge specifically to financial decision-making.

Economy looks for development while finance is all about growth.growth typically refers to an increase in the production of goods and services, as measured by indicators such as Gross Domestic Product (GDP) or Gross National Product (GNP). Economic growth is usually measured as a percentage change in GDP or GNP over time.

Development, on the other hand, is a broader concept that encompasses not only economic growth but also social, cultural, and political changes. It involves improvements in human welfare and well-being, as well as progress towards greater equity and social justice. Development can be measured by a variety of indicators, including the Human Development Index (HDI), which takes into account factors such as life expectancy, education, and income.
